Investment in two-way linking La Paz, Cochabamba and Santa Cruz us exceeds $ 300 million

    La Paz, June 24 (ABI) -. Minister of Works, Services and Housing, Vladimir Sanchez, reported Tuesday that the government invested, to date, more than 300 million dollars in the construction of the highway that will double the departments of La Paz, Cochabamba and Santa Cruz.

    "The amount to be invested in this double track but it is significant investment we have made already spends $ 300 million," he told reporters.

    He said the works to connect the three regions of fundamental importance because they help consolidate a fluency in those routes where there is great traffic.

    "We have already advanced from La Paz to Oruro, we are now moving to Confital Caracollo and then we will build the second phase of Confital to Cochabamba" he said.

    For those jobs President Evo Morales initialed in Caracollo (Oruro) on Tuesday a contract with the Chinese company Nanjing Nuclear Industry Construction Group, the construction work of 74.65 kilometers of track was awarded, for a total of 179 7 million dollars.

    In this context, Sanchez also reported that there have been advances in the road linking the town of Montero and Yapaní the department of Santa Cruz.

    "From there it will move gradually to Villa Tunari (Cochabamba) to unite with Santa Cruz," he added.

    According to data provided by the executive president of the Bolivian Highway Administration (ABC), Antonio Mullisaca, construction of double track La Paz-Oruro be delivered in September, as it is an increase of 80% of the work .
