Bolivia increased gross production of natural gas and liquid hydrocarbons: YPFB

 La Paz, June 26 (ABI) -. Bolivian Fiscal Oilfields (YPFB) reported Thursday that between January and March this year the gross production of natural gas at an average of 61.38 million cubic meters per day increased (MMmcd), while liquid hydrocarbons (oil, condensate and natural gasoline) reached 63.65 thousand barrels per day (MBPD).

     According to a statistical bulletin YPFB, the average gross production of natural gas in the first quarter of this year increased 7.54% over the same period of 2013, recording the highest average in February with 62.87 MMmcd.

     Meanwhile, the production of natural gas, subject to the payment of the Direct Tax on Hydrocarbons (IDH), royalties and shares, averaged 59.65 MMmcd the first quarter of this year, an increase of 7.78% with compared to the same period of 2013.

     This production was given entirely to YPFB by different companies operating the fields under operating contracts, according to state oil company.

     Moreover, in the first quarter of 2014, Tarija recorded increased production of natural gas subject to the payment IDH, royalties and participations, and averaged 41.06 MMmcd, followed by Santa Cruz with an average of 10.50 MMmcd , Chuquisaca and Cochabamba with MMmcd 6.07 2.02 MCF.

     Fields of increased production in the first quarter of this year were Chad and Margarita-Huacaya, with 31.1% and 23.4% of the total output respectively.

     Meanwhile, the San Alberto field production accounted for 16.6%.

     Other Fields contributed a significant volume of production were Yapacani and Itaú, 5.1% and 4.2% of the total, respectively.

     The department with the highest production of liquid hydrocarbons Tarija was the first quarter, with an average production of 43.42 MBPD, followed by 7.54 MBPD Chuquisaca, Santa Cruz and Cochabamba with 7.29 MBPD averaging 5.39 MBPD .
