Santa Rita, BOLIVIA, 13 (ABI) -. Executive secretary of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), Alicia Barcena, said Friday that "there is a lot of confidence" in the development of Bolivia, as it has good results in growth, foreign investment, poverty reduction and social inequality.

"There are very confident in Bolivia that is fine in foreign investment, is well growing and is moving forward (reduction) of poverty and inequality," he said at a joint hearing that made the municipality of Santa Rita with President Evo Morales and the secretary general of the United Nations (UN), Ban Ki-moon.

According to official data, in 2013 the economic growth in Bolivia closed at 6.8%, while for the Executive management has projected a public investment of 6,500 million.

The representative of ECLAC stressed particularly the "very optimistic" economic data collected in recent years, since it is one of the few countries that grows above the regional average.

Also, Barcena said another important indicator is the cooperation provided by the Government, through the implementation of projects for populations, indexed on the reduction of poverty and inequality.

In this context, the General Secretary of ECLAC said the international body is "absolutely" committed to continue institutional work done in the country.
