La Paz, Aug 8 (ABI) .- President of the National Chamber of Exporters of Bolivia, Guillermo Pou Munt, said Friday that Bolivian exports grew 7% in value and 5% by volume in the first half of this year.
"Exports in the first half will have grown by 7 percent in value, which exceeded six billion dollars in the previous year (2013) and 5 volume percent," he told reporters.
Bolivia exported last year, 12,201,000 dollars mainly driven by the sale of hydrocarbons and minerals.
"These data show that they are meeting the expectations we had of moderate growth and with whom we forecast growth of 3 percent by the end of the year," he added.
Pou Munt also highlighted the good performance of exports in areas such as quinoa, brown, coffee, stable mining, oil and textiles.

La Paz, 8 ago (ABI).- El presidente de la Cámara Nacional de Exportadores de Bolivia, Guillermo Pou Munt, informó el viernes que las exportaciones bolivianas crecieron 7% en valor y 5% en volumen en el primer semestre de este año.
"Las exportaciones al primer semestre han crecido en un 7 por ciento en valor, que superaron los 6 mil millones de dólares en relación al año anterior (2013) y un 5 por ciento en volumen", explicó a los periodistas.
Bolivia exportó el año pasado, 12.201 millones de dólares impulsado principalmente por la venta de hidrocarburos y minerales.
"Estos datos nos muestran que se están cumpliendo las previsiones que teníamos de un crecimiento moderado y con la que mantenemos la previsión de un crecimiento del 3 por ciento hacia finales de año", agregó.
Pou Munt destacó también el buen desempeño de las exportaciones en rubros como la quinua, castaña, café, la minería estable, hidrocarburos y textiles.
